Iris Scott’s divergence stood out in my mind, which made me choose her over my other two artists. Her technique obviously varies from most other artists. Difference is a big attraction to me. I don’t favor the idea of change, but difference is unique and outstanding. Her style shows each individual finger stroke and manipulates each color that is painted. Iris is a modern artist and is still alive today teaching finger painting lessons on her technique. She isn’t part of any movement but shows a great impact on art. Her back story also stood out in my mind and is very relatable to me which helped her cause in my favoritism. Finger painting isn’t usually a technique associated with great effort and professionalism. Iris Scott takes finger painting to a new level. She uses oil paint on her canvases and goes through great detail. Her color scheme contrasts with each other, but unifies the project all together.
